This was a monster day in all respects.
We had 11 boats with 99 athlete in total field of 32 boats and 288 athletes from 5 schools. It was a long and complicated race day. Thanks to the coaches for all the effort to make
this a great event. Amazingly the races ran like clockwork.
It was a triple Washburn day with Coach Taylor and Coaches Spencer and Parker with Deerfield.
Our boats did a great job especially since many boats had two races with changing conditions. Thank you to all of our coaches who
have trained the skill and nurtured the enthusiasm shown by all our tribe of racers on Saturday
A huge thank you to all the parents who turned out to support the tribe and the parents who ran the food table to feed the tribe. Our boats go faster when the hear the cheers from the
shore and they row better if we feed them race food before and they recover better after the race with recovery food from food table.
We also welcomed the PA athletic Director, Lisa Joel, a regular guest, who rode in one of launches to see close up the work of her coaches. We are posting tonight the video of the races.
