Early on Saturday we all awoke to a downpour of rain. Thanks to all the parents who braved the drive north to cheer the team. We were blessed by the weather Gods who stopped
the rain just as we all arrived. The river was covered by a heavy mist that faded but did not disappear all afternoon. You could hear the oars of the boats before you could see them.
The Hanover people were super friendly and welcoming. We raced upstream on the beautiful Connecticut River. This means the water speed relative to the boat is a bit faster and
increases the possibility of "catching a crab". Hanover caught more than we did. We had a great day of racing. Andover won 10 of the 11 races. Coaches love boring races. Our sixth
boat race was the most exciting with B6 winning by 0.3 of a seconds or about a about half a deck or about 6 or 7 feet. This was a fun racing day.
