The weather forecast lied. They promised a dry 59 but delivered a wet 46 degrees. The numerical difference is small
but in your bones this is a change from pleasantly warm to a deep chill. There was a light headwind and slightly rough water.
Good racing conditions. All four girls' boats won by open water. The boys' B1 won by open water, B2 by 1/3 length and B3 lost
a hard fought race by 0.7 seconds. Our B4, B5 and BG6 boats also gave us an exciting race with B4 winning by 1.8 seconds.
There was enthusiasm for a first of the season throwing of the coxswains but the coaches blocked the tradition due to the
temperatures.
