May 9th - Exeter, Tabor and NMH- by Max Blandon Page 3

Another great New England weather day with tempeatures about 70, a 10 mph tailwind and gentle current ( at least for the Mighty Merrimack). Four schools combined with Grandparent's Weekend made for a full house at the boathouse with about 380 atheletes and 44 boats all racing the glory of crossing the line first. On this day the Andover 7 Exeter teasm race for the David Swift trophy awarded on a points system based on 8 boys' and girls' boat races. The most exciting races of the day were the B1 where our boys won despit clashing oars with Tabor 4 times, our G1 where our girls' reclaimed their pride in beating Exeter for the first time since 2010 and the Last race of the day, our boys B4 which was the tie breaker for the trophy competition.
Almost a little too exciting but a very happy Andover team at the end of the day.
