May 11th Races at the Andover William Brown Boathouse

Racing with Exeter, Tabor and Belmont.
We started the day with a dedication of the new launch in honor of Coach Phil Dubois presented by a group of guys from the early '60s. The men who helped create Andover crew and whose passion for the sport and love for their moved them to donate a wake-less launch. Coach Dubois rowed for Harvard graduating in '51 and went on to collect a PhD while rowing Cambridge and competing in the Boat Race n 1956. With the passing of Bill Brown and Simone Hyde, Coach Dubois is now hate eldest member of Andover Crew.
The early weather forecasts threatened regatta but the gods of the Merrimack smiled on us and the heavy rainstorms stayed away until 10 minutes after the last bus departed.
we have a good day of racing. Our lower boats did better than our top boats. The Andover, Exeter & Tabor team trophy base don a complicated points system came out with Andover and Exeter equal with 41 points and tabor a little behind.
